The animation, which is being designed for the Weiss Energy Hall at the Houston Museum of Natural Science, will feature the geologic history of the Gulf of Mexico from the Jurassic to the present and introduce the concept of petroleum geolgoy. The Interactive Geology Project designed two scenes for this animation. The first details the changing paleogeography of the Gulf during its evolution. The second scene depicts the KT mass extinction event. The viewer watches a meteor impact the Yucatan and then watches global climate change.
